xStarter is a utility for automating routine computer tasks (task scheduler), which can perform many functions. In addition, tasks can be performed not only by time, but also by some system events. xStarter can archive data, run Windows applications, copy files and directories, upload files via HTTP and FTP, send emails, display messages on the screen, turn off and restart the computer, start and stop NT services, etc.
Tasks can be performed by:
- hot keys,
- schedule: at a specified time, after a specified period of time, periodically, according to a complex format (CRON),
- according to system events: manipulations with windows, operations with files and directories,
- after some time of inactivity of the system,
- by events in NT logs,
- manually.
The program has an internal Pascal-like language, an easily configurable set of automated actions, and a multilingual interface.
